There are multiple ways in order to perform firmware update on Nokia C6-00 phone.
First, updating the firmware directly from the phone.
To perform this, open Menu by pressing the centre "physical" button on the phone.
Then, select Application, then Tools. followed by selecting Software Update.
Once Software Update application appears, follow the process on the screen.
Secondly, the other way to perform firmware update is by using Nokia Ovi Suite on the PC.
Install the suite, launch it, then connect your device to the PC.
Nokia Ovi Suite should automatically detect the connected device.
Select the Software Updates button on the Ovi Suite window. (note the red-encircled button on the screenshot below.)
Then, the following screen like this might appear:
Focus on Nokia C6 section there. It tells your device's current firmware version. And if the latest firmware is available, you might notice it on the right column.
Another way to perform firmware update: visit Nokia Care Centre around your city and ask their technician to do it.
Firmware updating might bring many features including new functionality, better stability, theme, etc.
